*Water Lilies, Green Reflection* (1917): This is one of Claude Monet's works for the Grandes Decorations, which will be shown by the State (Prime Minister Georqes Clemencea was his friend). For this project, Monet created more than 12 paintings. At the time of this work, Monet was experiencing vision issues. This work's dark, green tonal foundation contrasts with the lilies' colours, and his swirling brushwork is most visible, lending to the illusion of gentle movement. *CLAUDE MONET (1845-1870) is one of the world's most famous painters, well-known today for his series of serene water lilies paintings, Claude Monet was instrumental in forging an entirely new direction for the world of art & impressionism.
