*Fishing Nets at Pourville (1882): With the unusually delicate painting of the translucent nets, this picture of fishing nets stands out among the artist's other works. The delicate, pink sky, whose light has been trapped in the frail nets and reflected with an uncanny glow, makes this painting remarkable and exceptionally beautiful. While the structure likewise seems to softly sway with the hectic movement of the water, the delicate quality of the nets and their poles contrasts with his more customary treatment of the eddying waves and white tops. *CLAUDE MONET (1845-1870) is one of the world's most famous painters, well-known today for his series of serene water lilies paintings, Claude Monet was instrumental in forging an entirely new direction for the world of art & impressionism. His distinctive use of colour, vision, and conformation would have a long influence on fine art, inspiring many great artists like Van Gogh.
